PUTRAJAYA: All ministers and deputy ministers must declare their assets, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
“I want their assets to be known to the public, that is important,” he said.
Abdullah said they would be told at the new Government’s first Cabinet meeting today about the time frame for them to submit details of their assets.
He said that at the meeting, he would also determine their direction as Cabinet ministers and what they should do.
The Prime Minister said he would also advise them on what they should adhere to and what they must avoid doing.
“The do's and the don'ts will be spelt out to them,” he said.
“I want them to know what I expect of them and how they should run their ministries.
“They were appointed to serve the people.
“This is the thing I want to emphasise,” he said. – Bernama
